Exmark Recognizes Roberts Supply Inc.

For Distribution and Sales Achievements

 

Beatrice, Neb. (January 2004) - Exmark Manufacturing, the leading manufacturer of commercial mowers in the professional turf industry, has named Roberts Supply Inc., Winter Park, Florida, as the 2003 Exmark "Distributor of the Year." In addition, Roberts Supply Territory Manager Terry Gibson was named Exmark's Southeast region "Salesman of the Year." Exmark announced the awards at a recent Roberts Supply employee dinner held in the Orlando area.

 

In presenting the Distributor of the Year award, Exmark National Sales Manager Bruce Cooper described Roberts Supply as a focused, model distributor.   "Their performance and dedication met or exceeded the criteria we utilized to select our 2003 Distributor of the Year," Cooper said.   "The parameters included; customer focus and care, dealer development, product distribution, and the overall quality of the company's workforce, both in management, and in sales and marketing."  

Roberts Supply serves outdoor product dealers throughout Florida.   The company began its business relationship with Exmark in January 1985, and will observe the 20-year anniversary of that date in 2005.   Nominated for the award by Lou Caputo, Exmark territory manager for the Southeast region, said "Cliff Roberts, president of Roberts Supply, has built a strong team of associates who are focused on helping dealers succeed in selling Exmark products and providing exceptional parts service. This total focus, including a better than 95-percent parts fill rate, has enabled Roberts to gain market share in 2003, and finish the year with record Exmark sales."

Exmark Manufacturing was incorporated in 1982 and has been engaged, since its inception, in the design and manufacture of mid-size commercial walk behind and riding lawnmowers for the landscape professional.   In addition to designing, building and marketing quality turf care equipment, Exmark's goal is total customer satisfaction.   Products are sold to distributors, who in turn, market to dealers throughout the continental United States and Canada.
