New Exmark® StandOn Adds Productivity, Performance

To Exmark Walk-Behind Models

Beatrice, Neb. (Revised: May 6, 2005) - Exmark® has introduced the StandOn, a new dedicated stand-on designed to help lawn care professionals maximize the productivity of their Exmark walk-behind mowers.

"The Exmark StandOn is engineered to integrate seamlessly onto our walk-behinds," said John Cloutier, the company's national marketing communications manager.   "With a QuickMount tools-free installation system, and commercial-grade components throughout, the StandOn is easy to use and maintain, and offers lawn care professionals the durability they've come to expect from Exmark."

Exmark's exclusive QuickMount system allows the operator to easily attach and detach the StandOn in seconds.   The system also enables the operator to fold-up the StandOn, securing it with a latch to the mower's engine frame.   This minimizes wear and trailer space requirements, and the integrated latch design eliminates the need for accessory straps or cords to secure the stand-on during transport.

The large, stable operator platform on the Exmark StandOn facilitates operator control and safety.   Raised foot-guards around the perimeter of the platform protect against impacts, and a two-position wheel height adjustment enables the operator to customize stand-on settings for situations requiring increased ground clearance.

The Exmark StandOn features a large, 11-inch diameter caster wheel to reduce turf compaction, and contribute to a smoother, more stable ride for the operator.   The innovative semi-pneumatic tire design further increases operator comfort and virtually eliminates flat tires.   The caster wheel assembly features sealed, greaseable spherical bearings which offer reduced maintenance needs compared to other sulky systems.   The wheel and pivot assembly is a design that Exmark pioneered for its mid-mount zero-turn riders, and is a design that has proven to offer superior durability in the field.
