EXMARK® INTRODUCES TRITONT HIGH-CAPACITY CUTTING PLATFORM

Beatrice, Neb. (Nov. 3, 2005) After working alongside landscape professionals for two years, Exmark Manufacturing introduces TritonT, the first and only high-capacity cutting platform designed to outperform traditional cutting decks. TritonT is now available on Lazer Z®, Lazer Z XS and Lazer Z HP models.

The lineup includes new cutting selections, including a 56-inch width on the compact Lazer Z HP, and a 66-inch width on the Lazer Z and Lazer Z XS, which allows landscape professionals to cut more grass in less time.

Exmark's research and development department took two years to design and perfect Triton. Working in all kinds of weather and with several different types of grasses, Exmark developed the Triton system to meet the needs of landscape professionals throughout all regions of the United States and Canada in all types of grasses.

Triton's features are designed to work together for added productivity. They include a six-inch-deep cutting platform, adjustable height and discharge baffles, and patented flow-control baffles.

"We believe Triton will transform the way cutting decks are designed for riding mowers," said Mark Stinson, General Manager of Exmark. "Triton's precisely crafted engineering and design will help solidify Exmark's position as the industry leader in the manufacturing of commercial riding mowers. Triton is solely designed for the landscape professional."

Triton's six-inch-deep platform allows for more lift and capacity, which reduces clumping and evenly discharges clippings.

Triton maintains airflow even in difficult conditions, thanks to a patented system of flow-control baffles that optimizes airflow to utilize horsepower efficiently. This provides for a smooth cut and even discharge of clippings.

Triton's new adjustable discharge baffle allows the operator to quickly and easily open the platform discharge to better handle think, wet grass. The standard position provides a powerful, even discharge of normal to dry clippings. The height-adjustable front baffle helps maintain the ideal vacuum while delivering a uniform cut even at the lowest 1-inch cut height on the Lazer Z, or up to 5 inches in cut height.

Triton is also built with a larger diameter 30-mm spindle shaft. The spindle is maintenance-free because its double-row bearings are triple-sealed to resist moisture and stand up to blade impact. Triton also comes with recessed blade bolts to protect the blades from catching on curbs and trailers, and a newly designed, flexible discharge chute that prevents the operator from damaging the landscape. New cone-shaped, anti-scalp rollers that are designed to further protect the turf from damage caused when turning.

Exmark Manufacturing was incorporated in 1982 and, since its inception, has been engaged in the design and manufacture of mid-size commercial walk-behind and riding lawn mowers for landscape professionals. In addition to designing, building and marketing quality turf care equipment, Exmark's goal is total customer satisfaction. Products are sold to distributors who, in turn, market to dealers throughout the continental United States and Canada.
