EXMARK NAMES OREGON-BASED COMPANY
2005 DISTRIBUTOR OF THE YEAR
BEATRICE, Neb. (January 10, 2006) – Exmark Manufacturing Inc., the nation’s top-selling manufacturer of zero-turn commercial riding lawnmowers, named Lucky Distributing of Portland, Ore., Distributor of the Year.
Lucky Distributing has sold Exmark riding mowers since 1998, and over the past three years the company increased sales by more than 100 percent. Lucky Distributing sells power equipment to more than 100 dealers in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Montana and northern Idaho.
Lucky Distributing received the award for its devotion to outstanding customer care and service, product distribution and dealer development, and for having a top organization and sales and marketing team. Lucky was nominated for the award by Exmark’s management team.
“Customer satisfaction is very important at Exmark, and Lucky Distributing has distinguished itself in this area,” said Bruce Cooper, senior manager, National Sales at Exmark. “Lucky has made a commitment to exclusively distribute Exmark commercial mowers throughout the Pacific Northwest, and the company’s business practices are top-notch. A major reason why Exmark continues to be the national leader in zero-turn mowers is the type of distribution channel and service that distributors like Lucky provide our dealers in this part of the country.”
Three years ago, Lucky Distributing stopped marketing all other brands of riding lawnmowers and began exclusively distributing Exmark products, said Tom Truman, president and outdoor power equipment sales manager for Lucky.
“We decided to focus our energy and efforts on the best brand of riding mowers, and that was Exmark,” Truman said. “We enhanced our focus on Exmark, and this year we enjoy record sales. Our sales team did an outstanding job this year, and the demand for Exmark mowers continues to grow.”

Lucky Distributing opened in 1948, and quickly grew to become one of the largest outdoor power equipment distributors on the West Coast. Lucky Distributing is owned by the Estey Distribution Group, which focuses on marketing outdoor power equipment and heating appliances.
