EXMARK DEALER BIRKEY'S FARM STORE EARNS HONOR

Beatrice, Neb. (August 29, 2007) – Birkey's Farm Store, an Exmark dealer based in Rantoul, Ill., has been named a 2007 Farm Equipment Dealership of the Year. Birkey's employs 300 and has 14 locations in Illinois and Indiana.

Program judges recognized Birkey's strong sales and financials, unique management structure and dedication to serving to employees and customers. "Exmark is proud to offer our products at Birkey's Farm Store locations," said Mark Stinson, Exmark president and CEO. "We celebrate Birkey's success and share their commitment to building and maintaining relationships, whether with employees or customers."

The Farm Equipment Dealership of the Year program drew 43 nominations from manufacturers, dealers, customers and former recipients of the award. Other winners were Scott Supply Co. (Mitchell, S.D.) and Record Harvest (Nevada, Mo.).

The independent judging panel for this year's competition included Dr. W. David Downey, Center for Agricultural Business, Purdue Univ., David Kahler, former CEO of the Ohio-Michigan Dealers Assn., and David Parker, Agri-Business Group.

Farm Equipment magazine is written for North American retail dealers of tractors, implements and related farm machinery. The magazine focuses on providing the key decision makers - general managers, parts managers and service managers - in today's farm equipment dealerships with information they need to make profitable decisions.
